Chocolate Chip Cookies

 

This is a classic and a personal favorite.

Having this in my childhood made me interested in baking. And its just now that I could say I perfected making one.

Thanks to my favorite food blogger 80breakfasts, I learned that resting the dough for 24 to 48 hours makes it the BEST CHOCOLATE COOKIE EVER!!!

Just follow this recipe and rest the dough in the fridge for 12 or if you can still wait, which I did, 24 hours. Bake them and your house will smell delish!

Banana Nutella Cupcakes

 

Ever since I got my push gift, (kitchen aid mixer) I wanted to go on a baking spree

I have a to-bake list and one of those I wanted to make are Banana Nutella cupcakes!

I followed this recipe and before baking I topped each with a spoonful of Nutella and used a toothpick to swirl the batter.

My family enjoyed this and has been suggesting I add more Nutella!

But I'm thinking of adding more bananas since I only used 3 medium sized ones.

a little personal

I do not want so much of my personal life written here.
But why blog if you cannot write about your feelings?

Today I have learned that I may be a risk taker, but I wear my heart on the sleeve.

I learned that love is love. period.

I am thankful for the family that we are, we have become and we will be.

I am blessed, everyday.

And today, I choose to be the momma my daughter deserves.

planning a kiddie party is no joke
most specially if you're planning for the most important person in your life.

finalized the date, venue is booked and we're ready to roll.

one year

time flies indeed, my little girl already turned ONE.

The day started with a Skype date with her Papa.

Went to our favorite mall, ordered our latest discovery Classic Confectioners, Chocolate Oblivion

Had dinner at Mango Tree Bistro (their Phad Thai is delish!)

and went home to sing her the Birthday song, helped her blow the candle and had some cake!

plans and lovelife

When I started this blog I didn't have a plan.

I just wanted an outlet, a ME time and something that would somehow chronicle my life, our life.

I was writing down on my notebook things I wanted to share/write.
There was plenty and I'm surprised!

So let the this lovelife with blogging begin!

that was fast

Same time last year, I was anxiously waiting for our answered prayer...our blessing...our baby

and now, I'm planning her first birthday celebration!!!

that was fast!

and planning a kiddie party is no joke. kudos to all parents of all the kiddie parties I've attended in the past.

which reminds me, when Anikka was still in my womb, I was not keen on throwing a big party for her 1st birthday. I said, we'll celebrate as a family, but not a party - party.
Its for the reason that she wouldn't enjoy it yet and wont even remember it.

But when she was born, everything changed.

So I concluded that this would be a celebration of life, of God's blessing, a testimony of answered prayers, family, and how a little girl could make life so different yet so HAPPY.

I have a theme in mind, a supplier for her giveaways, her cake and a guest list.

The venue has yet to be found. haha

So for now, let me go back to my venue-hunting online :p
