VOGUE September Issue

One of my routines during college was to drop buy the Bingo store (a convenience store) and check out their back copies of fashion magazines.

i loved magazines, the smell of them makes me really happy!
They had allure, in style and Vogue. My first copy of Vogue had Julia Roberta on the cover.

My obsession and love affair with magazines was a long and expensive one.
It was also consuming so much storage space as i would not let them go.

It was only marriage (my greatest love) that made me stop and move on to a paperless life. But being a creature of lists, there's one thing i need do.

In my bucketlist, i wrote many years back to have a current VOGUE September issue.
A friend posted on IG and said he got his at a stall in Makati Med. He tried at National Bookstore but they had none.

Would i be able to fulfill this?

trying out the blogger app

technology. how could you resist having everything you need (exag) in a touch of a button.

my smartphone allows me to capture memories, my kids' milestones, search on recipes, do banking, google my curiosity and screen cap whatever fancies me.

simply put, its the best thing that happened to this generation.

as i write this, im watching my daughter drink 2nd bottle of milk today. multi tasking?
even she likes to tinker with my phone. there was even one time she pointed at the tv screen and tried to zoom
it barney! (anak, hindi pa ganun ka hi-tech ang tv natin)

so far? im liking this app.

just need to try if uploading a picture would be easy.

lemmme try....

oh great!!!

hope this is a start of a good relationship!

toodles!!!!

kitchen gadgets

I have been spending so much time in our humble kitchen lately and recipes I want to try come to my sleep.

Life would be easier and our food would taste so much better (I believe) if we have these gadgets!
A few years back, you'd find me writing my Shoe/ Make up List. But now I find my self googling and wanting kitchen tools.

Here's a few of them.

Cuisinart Food Processor

This is to make my husband's favorite Lumpiang Shanghai and soups for my baby girl

cast iron Skillet

This is to make fritatas, omelettes and STEAK!!

cast iron stove top grill

Since we don't have a space to grill, this would do.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a classic and a personal favorite.

Having this in my childhood made me interested in baking. And its just now that I could say I perfected making one.

Thanks to my favorite food blogger 80breakfasts, I learned that resting the dough for 24 to 48 hours makes it the BEST CHOCOLATE COOKIE EVER!!!

Just follow this recipe and rest the dough in the fridge for 12 or if you can still wait, which I did, 24 hours. Bake them and your house will smell delish!

Enjoy!

Banana Nutella Cupcakes

Ever since I got my push gift, (kitchen aid mixer) I wanted to go on a baking spree

I have a to-bake list and one of those I wanted to make are Banana Nutella cupcakes!

I followed this recipe and before baking I topped each with a spoonful of Nutella and used a toothpick to swirl the batter.

My family enjoyed this and has been suggesting I add more Nutella!

But I'm thinking of adding more bananas since I only used 3 medium sized ones.

Enjoy!
